The Inn at Perry Cabin is a perfect back drop for any event. Think of the movie “Wedding Crashers” or “Great Gatsby;” hydrangeas lining the walks and adirondack chairs set strategically throughout the large expanse of lawn overlooking the waterfront view. I always feel that I’m being transported back to a gentler time when ladies wore gloves and men wore top hats.
The weather was perfect for the day’s event, large fluffy clouds skirting across the vivid blue sky and not a hint of humidity. As usual, we got to the Inn long before our start time ( just in case of traffic or car trouble.) It felt like coming home to family, the staff at The Inn are true professionals and very warm and welcoming.
We started the shoot, as usual, getting some personal portraits of the couple in their respective rooms.
Soon it was time to get ready for the actual ceremony which was held down on the lawn with the sunlight sparkling off the water ( which can be very challenging to photograph) and boats gliding by; a glorious back drop for any occasion.
After gettingĀ the family shots, it was time to work with the bride and groom. This is Mark’s favorite part of a wedding shoot and this couple was relaxed and natural in front of the camera.
After spending about forty-five minutes with the couple, it was time to move into the dinner hour. The Inn at Perry Cabin did a spectacular job with the decorations and food.
We really enjoyed working with this couple and we hope you enjoyed our blog. Call us for a consultation!
